Little Journey’s World – How the Journey Began!

Caroline Riepler is a wife, mother and entrepreneur. Being an entrepreneur has been a way of life for Caroline.  Her parents immigrated to the United States from Germany and Switzerland and through much hard work and perseverance they have owned and operated the Black Bear Inn in Lyons, Colorado, for more than 30 years.

Caroline was raised in Colorado, however, the diversity of her heritage gave her the opportunity to travel and spend a good amount of time in Europe.  Her love of travel and exposure to different cultures shows in her hand-crafted creations for babies and toddlers. Before starting Little Journeys World, Caroline used her talents to craft gifts and treasures for friends and family, but when she and her infant son were hit head-on by a drunk driver her life was nearly destroyed. It was a long journey to recover, both physically and emotionally.

Hand crafting and designing products, particularly with little people in mind, was therapeutic for Caroline and it gave her much joy to share her treasures, which is how Little Journeys World began. Caroline doesn’t go a day without sharing a part of herself and letting the people around her know that she loves them. She incorporates this into her products and when creating each one she thinks of love and joy for the little person she’s making it for.

Everything has a sentiment and a connection for Caroline and it shows in her product lines. She has a Western line that represents her birth place and residence in Colorado, an International line that represents her European heritage and a Travel line that represents her love for traveling.
